STOP THE PRESSES!!
I have updated and expanded the book and have switched from print to a Kindle version. If you have purchased the print version and would like to get a download of the updated PDF version please send me a photo of you holding the printed book opened to page 4 along with the email address to send it to.
The new Kindle version is available for purchase on Amazon at the price of $9.99.
I will be using this page to make additions to the book and list corrections (if any, I hope there will be none needed).
I will also list special offers from vendors I work with here. Please note that some of these links will be affiliate links and I will be compensated in some way if you make purchases via these links.
Thank you so much for your interest and support. It is very much appreciated!

I noticed a small typo on page 29 of the printed book where it says “to large umbrellas” and should say “two large umbrellas.” Sorry about that!
In the printed version of the book I talk about flat front strobes vs those with a protruding flash tube. Since then I have seen a number of tests that show the difference to be much less than I made it out to be in my text. This is especially true in softboxes that have an internal diffuser panel. The jury is still out for me on beauty dishes, but I know a lot of photographers using them with flat front strobes and enjoying their results.
